Following the Governance reforms voted at the last Rugby Europe General Assembly in December 2019, Rugby Europe has today announced the appointment of Vincent Taupin as Independent Non-Executive Director (INED), Member of the Board of Directors of the European governing body.
After an independent recruitment process led by HR firm Odgers Berndtson, recognized as an expert in high-profile hunting, Rugby Europe selected Vincent Taupin to take up the position of INED for the next four-years cycle, due to start on December 4th after the elective General Meeting. His appointment was unanimously approved by Rugby Europe’s Board of Directors.
Currently CEO of the private banking group Edmond de Rothschild, Vincent Taupin comes with a vast experience in the banking sector, having held several CEO positions in French and international companies. After starting his career in Peat Marwick Consultants, he worked on the financial markets. He founded and developed Boursorama Banque for more than ten years, before leading the strategic activities of Edmond de Rothschild group in twelve countries. Passionate about sailing, he played rugby at the Paris University Club (PUC).
The Rugby Europe General Meeting will be held by video-conference on December 4th and 5th and will elect the President and the Board of Directors Members for the next four years.
