As Rugby Europe continues to develop its digital portfolio, the governing body of rugby in Europe has partnered with SportLoMo to streamline its competition management system.
The solution, developed by the Irish based company, will allow each of the 46 participating Rugby Europe member unions to have access to the SportLoMo platform where they will manage their players, teams and competitions registration.
In addition, Rugby Europe will have the possibility to create and manage all its competition portfolio digitally, from the competition formats creation to the results and data management. This includes the management of the pool of Match Officials.
All players will now be registered on the SportLoMo Member Registration platform and team managers will be able to select their players for each fixture through an electronic team sheet.
Players playing history will be stored in electronic format and will be available to each country and to Rugby Europe, this will streamline how the information is managed and the data will reside in one central database.
The platform is multi-lingual and contains a number of other modules, such as Discipline, Referee Assignments, Member Transfers, Tournament Management and Tournament Sanctioning which will be progressively rolled out to all Rugby Europe's members.
SportLoMo CEO Seamus Kyne said: "We are delighted to have been selected by Rugby Europe as the provider of their Competition Management and Competition Registration software. SportLoMo has extensive experience working with the game of Rugby in Europe, North America and Canada. We hope to bring our knowledge and leverage the ongoing development work and new functionality we are adding to our platform to assist Rugby Europe and its member countries in the growth, development and promotion of Rugby."
Florent Marty, CEO of Rugby Europe, "The digitalisation of our competitions management is a great step forward for Rugby Europe. The various functions on SportLoMo's platform enable us to manage our competitions fluently, link live stats and real-time content creation to the benefits of our fans and our unions. This is a key-element for our development and professionalisation. "
