Rugby Europe has been notified by the Belgium Rugby Union that the Belgium National Authorities are not permitting the Belgium Men’s XV National team to travel to Romania in light of the current COVID situation, even though there is currently no restrictions in Romania concerning Rugby Europe Championship games.
The Romania vs Belgium game was due to take place on Sunday February 7th 2021 as part of the last round of Rugby Europe Championship 2020.
The Rugby Europe Board of Directors will gather in the next few days to decide what action must take place regarding this fixture and the implications on the competition going forward.
A further announcement will be made in due time.
