Rugby Europe Super Cup - Shining Stars for the upcoming season

The Lusitanos, Castilla y León Iberians, Delta, Brussels Devils, Romanian Wolves and Bohemia Rugby Warriors will clash over the course of the next three months, and we went on a mission to select the twelve star players for you to keep your eyes on, many of whom will already be familiar.

For the first of a two part series we look at some of the stars and the submitted squads for each team.

Don’t forget you will be able to vote on the Try of the Week after each round of action in the competition.

Bohemia Rugby Warriors

Adam Koblic (Wing / Czech International)

A classical rapid wing, Adam Koblic is a sure threat out wide for the Bohemia Rugby Warriors, wreaking havoc when he finds a bit of space, stepping players in and out.

With an impressive one try per game record since capping for Czechia, Koblic possesses a special set of skills that can elevate the Bohemia Rugby Warriors attacking plays, spicing things up at every turn.

Dan Hosek (Back row / Czech International)

Bone-wrenching tackles, a concept that defines Dan Hosek, the Bohemia Rugby Warriors serial tackler and one of the Czechia franchise's biggest names.

The seasoned loose forward is master and commander of a daunting physicality and an unyielding attitude, both of which have been key for Czechia’s growth as a national team in the last few years.

As a new era unfolds for Czechian rugby, Dan Hosek’s dedication and leadership will be crucial to helping the Bohemia Rugby Warriors become a threat to those who take them lightly.

Castilla y León Iberians

Thierry Futeu (front-row / Leones international)

There are few forwards with the agility, strength, speed and resilience of Thierry Futeu, who can easily overpower any opposition at scrum time or run a spectacular running line at the same level as any back.

A noteworthy statistic from Futeu’s performance in this year’s Men’s Rugby Europe Championship is his 50% success rate in crossing the gainline, making life hard for those who have the task of taking him down.

The 30-year-old loosehead prop will make his debut for the Castilla y León Iberians after years showing his trade in France, empowering the Spanish franchise’s set-piece and overall game to a new level of excellence.

Estanislao Bay (scrum half / Leones international)

A Rugby Europe fan favourite, Estanislao ‘Tani’ Bay is locked and loaded to deliver a proper show and ignite the Iberians backline, be it by scoring mesmerising tries or setting up some insane line breaks.

Bay is regarded as one of the most elusive players in the Rugby Europe universe, consistently able to challenge even the most gifted tacklers. His performance at the 2025 Men’s Rugby Europe Championship, where he recorded three line breaks and beat nine defenders, is a prime example of how challenging it is to stop the scrum half.

With the Iberians entering into a new era, Bay’s impact will be decisive not only for this year’s Super Cup but for the growth of the franchise as Spain's main player engine.

Castilla y León Iberians – Full Squad

Pau Aira, Vichente Del Hoyo, Raúl Calzón, Pablo Miejimolle, Santi Ovejero, Cristian Moreno, Lucas Santamaría, Thierry Futeu, Pablo Guirao, Antonio Suárez, Imanol Urraza, Matt Foulds, Vicente Boronat, Pepe Borraz, Valentino Rizzo, Álex Saleta, Pablo Pérez, Estanislao Bay, Nico Infer, Gonzalo Vinuesa, Alvar Gimeno, Yago Fernández, Iñaki Mateu, Martiniano Cian, Beltrán Ortega, Egoitz García, Beau Peart, Jamie Manteca, John Wessel Bell.

Brussels Devils

Felipe Geraghty (Back row / Diables Noirs international)

32-year-old Felipe Geraghty’s career has been on the rise, having earned his first cap for the Diables Noirs last February, after years of devotion and hard work as part of the Brussels Devils setup.

The utility forward finished the 2025 Men’s Rugby Europe Championship without missing a single tackle, hunting down even the most challenging speedsters and providing a brutally effective defender.

As Belgium is still in the fight to reach the upcoming World Cup, fans can expect Geraghty to be at his best level to earn another call-up to play for the Diables Noirs.

Hugues Bastin (Back row / Diables Noirs international)

Another loose forward makes the list, but we wouldn’t be including Hugues Bastin if the Belgium international didn’t deserve it.

In addition to his tackling skills and keen sense of when and how to pilfer the oval ball, Bastin's physical conditioning is a key aspect of his performance, allowing him to maintain the same level throughout the game.

One of the most menacing enforcers among the Rugby Europe Super Cup player pool, the back row is on a mission to win back his place in the Belgium national team.
