Rugby Europe announces that Florent Marty is stepping down from his role as Chief Executive Officer, effective today.
During his tenure, Florent has been a passionate advocate for the growth and development of rugby across the continent, steering numerous initiatives that have strengthened the sport’s presence and engagement throughout Europe.
Florent Marty commented on his departure: “It has been an incredible journey working with Rugby Europe and developing its talented team. I am proud of what we have achieved together during the last 7 years and confident that the sport will continue to thrive and expand. I look forward to new challenges ahead and remain a devoted supporter of rugby’s growth on the continent.”

Rugby Europe will now initiate a search for a successor who will continue to advance the organization’s mission of promoting rugby across all levels of participation. World Rugby’s Jens Nielsen will act as interim CEO during that period.
