Preview: RE Super Cup continues, two matches in the Men's Conference

Early season leaders Castilla Y Leon Iberians are on their travels to take on Delta this weekend in what should be a cracking clash to kick start a ‘Super Saturday’ of men’s Rugby Europe Super Cup action.

Last Friday, the Iberians were at home in Spain and defeated Brussels Devils 66-20 with a bonus point.

The following day, Delta from the Netherlands got their campaign underway with a 40-17 away win over the Romanian Wolves.

As a result, the teams are first and third in the fledgling six-team standings just now with Delta looking to make the most of home advantage this time around.

The tasty-looking match up takes place in the National Rugby Center in Amsterdam at 1pm local time (11am UTC) and, because they were in different pools last season, they did not meet.

The second match in round two on Saturday pits Romanian Wolves against Bohemia Warriors at 4.30pm local time (1pm UTC) at the Arcul de Triumf stadium in Bucharest.

As mentioned, the Wolves lost out to Delta last week, but were in the game for large parts and have another chance at home now to get their first points on the board.

In round one, the Bohemia Warriors from Czechia went down 42-21 to Lusitanos in Portugal, but, like the Wolves, showed some signs of promise in defeat.

These sides were both in the same pool last season and when they met in Prague last September the Wolves won 38-18.  In the Rugby Aréna Tatra Smíchov, the Wolves battled hard to come out on top and they’ll expect another tough 80 minutes here.

That game is fifth against fourth and the final round two match on Saturday is sixth placed Brussels Devils against second placed Lusitanos.

The Belgium versus Portugal affair is at the Sportcomplex Sint-Gillis in Dendermonde at 6pm local time (4pm UTC).

The Devils will have had to get their heads up quickly after shipping 66 points in Spain last week while Lusitanos will be travelling feeling confident, but also knowing there is more in them than they showed last week against the Wolves.

These sides did not meet last season.

Norway and Luxembourg get their Pool A campaigns underway at 2pm local (noon UTC) at the International School of Stavanger.

Norway are currently 100th in the world rankings with Luxembourg 56th.

At the same time, which is 3pm local and noon UTC in Finland, the Finnish national side host Estonia in the Ruutisavu Areena in Vantaa.

This is also a Pool A game with both sides having their first Conference outing of 2025/26.

Both international matches will be shown live on Rugby Europe TV, while the Super Cup matches can also be found there, as well as Rugby Pass TV.
