Rugby Europe has been made aware of the detention in Belarus of Mr. Aleksandr Danilevich.
As of today, he has not been provided with charges or with a fair trial.
He is a respected member of the Rugby Europe Legal and Regulations Committee from 2016 to 2020 and contributed greatly to the development of the game in the continent.
Mr. Danilevich has been involved in several key projects for Rugby Europe and has always shown a great spirit, respect, passion, and discipline.
With this statement we wish to express our solidarity with Mr Danilevich.
