The 107th Rugby Europe Annual General Meeting took place in Alicante, Spain on the 5th & 6th of December 2025.
Delegates were welcomed by Rugby Europe President Janhein Pieterse, who delivered his progress report after his first full year in post, along with the President of FER, Juan Carlos Martin Sanchez, to start the meeting, followed by the update from the General Secretary Pavel Mysak.
Members voted on the Bylaws amendment in favor of changing Bylaw 4.1.1 before the vote to include two new unions to the members of Rugby Europe’s unions.
It was voted by the members present that two new countries would become the members of Rugby Europe, with Hellenic Rugby Federation (Greece) becoming the 48th and Gibraltar Rugby Football Union the 49th members of Rugby Europe.
There was an overview on the direction of the new Rugby Europe Strategic Plan by Interim CEO Jens Skare Nielsen, - a Strategic Plan, which will be implemented in 2026.
An emphasis was put on Women’s Rugby in Europe where there was an exchange of best practices and strategic ideas on how to contribute to the ongoing global acceleration of the women’s game.
As is tradition at the Annual General Meeting, a number of individuals were presented with the ‘Rugby Europe Medal’ for their dedication and outstanding contribution to the European Federation.

- Bernhard Zainzinger (Austria) - Bronze
- Robert Pucanja (Slovenia)- Bronze
- Mr. Mark Barrett (Kosovo) – Bronze
- John O'Driscoll (Ireland)- Silver
- Joel Dumé (RE Referees Manager) – Gold
It was also an opportunity to celebrate some of the on-field performances from the countries participating in the Rugby Europe Conference tournaments during the 2024/2025 season.

- Conference A: Denmark (who went on to win the playoff and promotion to Trophy)`
- Conference B: Ukraine
- Conference C: Moldova
- Conference D: Malta
- Conference E: Slovenia
