Rugby Europe Championship 2021

The Rugby Europe Championship 2021 forms part of the qualification process for the Rugby World Cup 2023 in France. 

The season started in March 2021 and took the form of an adapted schedule due to the Covid-19 pandemic and to the postponement of the play-off Match between Netherlands and Belgium, played in May 2021.

Further to the eligibility issue of a player in the Spanish team, World Rugby Appeal Panel has confirmed 10 point deduction for Spain in the RWC qualification table. Rugby Europe Board of Directors confirmed on July 5th,2022 the same 10 point deduction on the final tables of REC 21 (-5 points) and REC 22 (-5 points).
