Rugby Europe to host first ever Women’s International Leadership Forum
Rugby Europe has announced that its first ever Women’s International Leadership Forum will take place in Madrid from 2 to 4 November 2018.
In line with the World Rugby Women’s Development Plan, this forum aims to support and enhance the development of current and potential female leaders, as well as agree on a European action plan to develop female leaders and role models within Rugby Europe nations and see the women’s game reflected in strategy, plans and structures.
Mr Octavian Morariu , President of Rugby Europe said: “We’re delighted to announce that Rugby Europe will host this first Women’s International Leadership Forum. There has already been significant growth in the women’s game and there is even more potential to explore. We want to bring together key voices from across Europe to look at all aspects of women’s rugby, including participation, performance, leadership and investment. We hope to generate lots of positive discussion about women’s rugby and look forward to welcoming delegates to Spain later this year."
The full event programme is still being confirmed but attendees can expect key note speakers and workshops on a range of topics, varying from tackling barriers, to marketing and sponsorship of the women’s game. There will also be time for networking and the opportunity to share stories and best-practice examples from across Europe. We are looking for expressions of interest from Unions and individuals wishing to attend the forum. Please go to the link and complete the form by 30th July 2018
