Look at the ranking of the Series after the third leg in Clermont Sevens


The third leg of 2017 Men's Sevens Grand Prix Series took place this week-end in France, for the first time in Clermont-Ferrand. As the penultimate leg of the Series, teams battled at the top and the bottom with different goals. 

At the bottom of the ranking, as Poland is preserved from relegation as Host Union of a GPS tournament, Belgium and Portugal have played to secure their place in the first division. They can target on Georgia and Italy which are not very far ahead. 

At the top, the Top-3 teams have kept the pace of previous legs and are still in the race to win the two tickets for Sevens Rugby World Cup 2018. Ireland claimed a second title in 2017 Sevens Grand Prix Series - defeating the European Champion, Russia, (17-14 ) in a tight final - while Spain grabbed the third place of the tournament thanks a last victory against a convincing Germany.
