Men's Sevens Irish teams have been crowned 2018 European Champions after a wonderful Season


The fourth and Final leg of Men's Sevens European Grand Prix Series 2018 took place in Lodz this week-end - gathering the twelve best European teams. 

After the three previous legs, Ireland was on the top with 10 points ahead of England, runner-up and 12 on Russia, the current title-holder. 

Based on the same group of players, Ireland kept their professionalism to keep its first place and grab the title scoring 115 tries during this last tournament. 

For the third time of the season, the "Greens" reached the final of the tournament as well as Germany that performed despite a defeat against Poland in pools games. 

With three tournaments won this season - Irish team dominated the series, followed by Germany (Silver Medals) and Russia (Bronze Medals)

These three teams are qualified for Hong Kong Sevens Qualifier Tournament next April. 

At the bottom of standings, Sweden is relegated to the Trophy division and will be replaced by Romania next season
