Donal Courtney introduced new laws to Russia team

Former international referee Donal Courtney visited Russia's Men's National Team

Former international referee Donal Courtney visited Russia's Men's National Team in camp this week to educate players and coaches about World Rugby's new laws and disciplinary processes. These new processes, operational globally since the beginning of 2017, have been introduced following Union and independent expert consultation and are being implemented in line with World Rugby's drive to make our sport as safe as possible.

The Rugby Union of Russia is grateful to Donal for briefing the athletes on the current interpretation of the laws. Donal's informative and educational session formed part of an extensive global programme of education via digital and social media channels and was also attended by russian leading referees, who received detailed instruction on introducing the new protocols ahead of next week's start to Rugby Europe's 2017 competitions.
